Renovation Update, Part 14

Hello all!

It’s hard to believe it, but the painting stage of the church is nearly complete! The scaffolding will start to be disassembled this coming week, which will finally give us the opportunity to see the church in it’s entirety.

There was once again plenty of progress this last week. The stars were applied to the panels of the apse, and the invocation “All Holy Men and Women, Saints of God, Pray for Us” was painted over the sanctuary arch. These details are both applied with a gilded paint, and it reflects light beautifully!

The Stations of the Cross received a coat of paint, and the results look great! These are the stations that were already in the church, and will be placed in frames prior to being returned to the walls. The angels placed on either side of the tabernacle were painted in a similar way.

Finally, the drywall work along the back wall continues where the new windows and confessional will be installed. Once complete, the walls will be textured and painted to match the rest of the church.

I’m excited to see the church as the scaffolding starts to come down, and look forward to sharing the images with you next weekend!

Peace,

Fr. Brandon
