Renovation Update, Part 12

Happy Saturday!

At this point the end is in sight as far as painting goes, with less than a month remaining until the scaffolding comes down. This week once again had a lot of progress.

First, the kites along the bottom edges of the portion of the ceiling that drops down were finished this week and look great! They add a nice bit of color through the length of the church.

Next, the large wall panels behind where the statues of Mary and Joseph will go (where the baptismal font and piano used to be) received significant attention. The arch design here ties in with the windows, and makes the whole design of the church appear much more coherent.

The painters also started the stenciling along the ribs of the apse this week, trimming out the striking blue color.

Finally, the windows at the rear of the church between the entrance and cry room are getting finished up. It was a bit tricky working out the arches here, but the end result is looking excellent!

Peace,

Fr. Brandon
