Acts 5:12-16 Revelation 1:9-13,17-19 John 20:19-31
In this weekend’s reading from Acts, many people come to the Apostles for healing, and belief in Jesus grows. In Revelation, John tells how he was called to write an account that would bear witness to the Risen Christ. In the Gospel, the faith of Thomas is tested when the others claim to have sent the Lord. Jesus gently invites Thomas to see and believe.
We reflect on the love Jesus shows in forgiving us and inviting us to reconcile with him. Jesus is the source of peace in our hearts. He is patient with us, as he was with Thomas. If our faith falters or grows weak, Jesus does not abandon us, but continuously calls us to renewed faith and holiness.
